Veth Crystals's Roland Czerniejewski played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Takacs Tibor in the 9th minute of play. 12 minutes into the match, Hungary's goalkeeper Fodor Daniel had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Witold Lepucki. The supporters of Hungary booed when Veth Crystals was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 14 match minutes in a wonderful position. He Lin Di didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 17th minute, Edward Oliszewski hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Roland Czerniejewski took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Antal Valentin, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Gwidon Patora was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 22nd minute. Veth Crystals's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. Fodor Daniel was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Gwidon Patora showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-1 in the 23 minute of play. Hungary's Fodor Daniel proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 28th minute of the match, managed to save Hungary from getting a goal against them. 29 minutes into the match, Antal Valentin notched a goal, 1-2, to the right of Veth Crystals's Roland Czerniejewski. Roland Czerniejewski was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Witold Lepucki's late challenge caught a Hungary's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Witold Lepucki helped the player get up and apologised. Roland Czerniejewski made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Antal Valentin in the 35th minute of play. The corner ended in Katona Janos almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Veth Crystals's Roland Czerniejewski did a great save. Gwidon Patora fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 41st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fodor Daniel having to interfere. In the 43rd minute Takacs Tibor shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Roland Czerniejewski saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 45th minute Hungary were awarded a corner. Antal Valentin went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner ended in Antal Valentin almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Veth Crystals's Roland Czerniejewski did a great save. Disappointed in the 1-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The wind increased when Gwidon Patora made the kick off in the second half. Balazs Lajos sent away a hard shot on goal in the 53rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Roland Czerniejewski made an important save on a dangerous shot by Antal Valentin in the 61st minute. Olgierd Ziemniak hit a great freekick 62 minutes into the match. After a rather tough play, Veth Crystals's Barnaba Kisiel got a free kick in the 64th minute. 76 minutes into the match, Bartosz Lizewski had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Fodor Daniel. Hungary's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Bartosz Lizewski was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-2. Major Barna could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 80th minute of the match, but Roland Czerniejewski made a huge save. Veth Crystals's Cyryl Zielinski was substituted for Alejandro Bullon. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bartosz Lizewski in the 84th minute of play forced Hungary's goalkeeper Fodor Daniel to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Major Barna fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 85th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Roland Czerniejewski having to interfere. After having played for 89 minutes, Major Barna managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Hungary's supporters crossed their fingers, but Major Barna was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Major Barna in the 91st minute of play forced Veth Crystals's goalkeeper Roland Czerniejewski to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Veth Crystals succeeded in salvaging a draw, even though Hungary had controlled the match.
