The tension between the Dark Sons of Omar and the Netherlands players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 13 played minutes Dark Sons of Omar got a freekick which was hit by Maunu Tuuri. Lars Meesters recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 14th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Junior Virtanen took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gustaaf Groeneveldt, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 36th minute Jukka Laakso shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Arnout Reekers saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Netherlands's Wim Wilmes got a good chance for a goal in the 37th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After having played for 43 minutes, Wim Wilmes managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Netherlands's supporters crossed their fingers, but Wim Wilmes was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gustaaf Groeneveldt in the 45th minute of play forced Dark Sons of Omar's goalkeeper Junior Virtanen to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Paijo Prima to strike the kick off in the second half. After 64 played minutes Netherlands got a freekick which was hit by David Eikelkamp. Junior Virtanen made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Wim Wilmes in the 66th minute of play. When Viljo Lehto fell near the penalty area in the 66th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Dark Sons of Omar's protests and gave Viljo Lehto a yellow card for diving instead. Netherlands's Egbert Nijveldt was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Junior Virtanen in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Junior Virtanen made an important save on a dangerous shot by Wim Wilmes in the 79th minute. In the 80th minute of the match Netherlands got a corner. Dark Sons of Omar's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Gijsbert ter Kruimer ran over to the corner to take the kick. After having played for 82 minutes, Gijsbert ter Kruimer managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Netherlands's supporters crossed their fingers, but Gijsbert ter Kruimer was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 85th match minute, Netherlands was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by David Eikelkamp to maneuver through the defense. A collision led to Netherlands getting a freekick after 88 minutes play. Egbert Nijveldt hit a great ball. 89 minutes into the match, Dark Sons of Omar's Kaapro Hietaharju broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal.
