Spectators: 44 (Terracing: 34, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) Jadymy Durś's Agostinho Negri started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. The crowd rose to their feet as Jadymy Durś's Xesus Barrieta slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Flavio Vittori. That made the score 1-0 after 4 minutes of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Agostinho Negri got free with Flavio Vittori in the 7th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 10 minutes into the match, Jadymy Durś's goal looked a bit too open when Zaccheo Andolina came free, but Franciszek Lerych reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 11th minute, Zena Busacca hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 13 minutes into the match, Italy's goalkeeper Flavio Vittori had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Andrzej Dobrowski. Italy's Flavio Vittori proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 25th minute of the match, managed to save Italy from getting a goal against them. Porziano Marchitelli recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 30th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Xesus Barrieta in the 32nd minute of play forced Italy's goalkeeper Flavio Vittori to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Agostinho Negri could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 35th minute of the match, but Flavio Vittori made a huge save. Flavio Vittori made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Agostinho Negri in the 45th minute of play. When Gomberto Picozzi fell near the penalty area in the 47th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Italy's protests and gave Gomberto Picozzi a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Italy getting a freekick after 47 minutes play. Gomberto Picozzi hit a great ball. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Zaccheo Andolina to make the kick off. Zaccheo Andolina in the 53rdth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Franciszek Lerych, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. When Zaccheo Andolina came up free with the goalie in the 57th minute, the Italy fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Zaccheo Andolina couldn't finish the play. Flavio Vittori showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Andrzej Dobrowski in the 59th minute of the match. Zaccheo Andolina could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 62nd minute of the match, but Franciszek Lerych made a huge save. Italy's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Sigfrido Auletta in the 66th minute. Gianpaolo Mascari made in the 68th minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Zaccheo Andolina. 68 minutes into the match, Italy's Zaccheo Andolina sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Franciszek Lerych narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Jadymy Durś's Franciszek Lerych played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Zaccheo Andolina in the 68th minute of play. 68 minutes into the match, Zaccheo Andolina notched a goal, 1-2, to the right of Jadymy Durś's Franciszek Lerych. Franciszek Lerych was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Jedrzej Sanocki, 76 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. Franciszek Lerych stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Zaccheo Andolina's shot from short distance in the 79th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Agostinho Negri in the 84th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Flavio Vittori saved Italy from getting behind. When the match clock showed 84 minutes, the score became 2-2 when Agostinho Negri sped through Italy's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Flavio Vittori. Italy made a substitution. Sansone Vanella replaced Gianpaolo Mascari. Italy made a substitution. Adriano Curto replaced Zaccheo Andolina. Borys Ostrowski's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Flavio Vittori read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 88th minute of play. Franciszek Lerych stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Adriano Curto's shot from short distance in the 90th minute. After 90th play minutes Adriano Curto shot 2-3, a short shot which went by Franciszek Lerych and just under the crossbar into goal. With a little luck, Jadymy Durś's Franciszek Lerych got control of the ball when Siricio Liotta tried to sneak it across the goal line. Italy's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
