The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After a rather tough play, Picanya FC's Iratze Lillo got a free kick in the 3rd minute. With a little luck, Belgium's Casper Claes got control of the ball when Gaskon Gimeno tried to sneak it across the goal line. 9 minutes into the game, Henric Villaquiran cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-0. Casper Claes was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Gaskon Gimeno's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Casper Claes read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 12th minute of play. Naldo Roig showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Edward Vanderstraeten, who was totally free with the ball in the 46th minute. Picanya FC's Naldo Roig played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Edward Vanderstraeten in the 47th minute of play.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Edward Vanderstraeten made a kick off. In the 52nd minute Edward Vanderstraeten shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Naldo Roig saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gregory Bermejo in the 78th minute of play forced Belgium's goalkeeper Casper Claes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Hori Aranzubia charged in rather forcefully in the 91st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Hori Aranzubia the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 91 played minutes Picanya FC got a freekick which was hit by Hori Aranzubia. When Lenny Clocheret fell near the penalty area in the 94th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Belgium's protests and gave Lenny Clocheret a yellow card for diving instead. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Picanya FC had won after a very even match.
