Luka Mata showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-1. After 32 played minutes Consejo del Mate got a freekick which was hit by Julio Kemen. The supporters of Consejo del Mate booed when Jastreb was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 33 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ruben Rolado didn't get a good kick on the ball. 36 minutes into the match, Consejo del Mate's goal looked a bit too open when Börje Forsberg came free, but Hugo Orlando Gatti reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 39th minute Jastreb were awarded a corner. Vanja Dimitrijević went to the cornerflag to take it. Navarro Montoya showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Fagildo Pamanes in the 40th minute of the match. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Bolo Bolaño to make the kick off. Jastreb's Navarro Montoya played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bolo Bolaño in the 53rd minute of play. In the 69th minute Javier Betadur shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Navarro Montoya saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Navarro Montoya made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bolo Bolaño in the 71st minute of play. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Navarro Montoya prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Jastreb's supporters crossed their fingers, but Duško Zambata was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 91st minute Bo Cantona shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hugo Orlando Gatti saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some careless play in the Consejo del Mate defense, Bo Cantona kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Hugo Orlando Gatti. The Consejo del Mate fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Hugo Orlando Gatti should have stopped the shot. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Jastreb had won after a very even match.
