In the 15th minute Edward Vanderstraeten shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Adam Adamski saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Edelmiro Carulla's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Casper Claes read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 20th minute of play. A nice corner shot did that Innocenzio Sesse got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Casper Claes quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. During the 23rd minute of the match Dinu Ghiciușca completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Dinu Ghiciușca a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. Dinu Ghiciușca hit a great freekick 24 minutes into the match. If Edward Vanderstraeten had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 26th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Yves Dervaux kicked well hit freekick during the 27th minute of the match. 39 minutes into the match, Belgium's Edward Vanderstraeten sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Adam Adamski narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Adam Adamski took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Edward Vanderstraeten, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A collision led to Belgium getting a freekick after 41 minutes play. Floris Claeys hit a great ball. Edelmiro Carulla sent away a hard shot on goal in the 44th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Lucas Moura to strike the kick off in the second half. After a rather tough play, Belgium's Laurens Vandamme got a free kick in the 52nd minute. Yves Dervaux scored 0-1 in the 55th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Adam Adamski, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. When Edward Vanderstraeten came up free with the goalie in the 60th minute, the Belgium fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Edward Vanderstraeten couldn't finish the play. After some careless play in the Sociedad Anónima defense, Edward Vanderstraeten kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Adam Adamski. The Sociedad Anónima fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Adam Adamski should have stopped the shot. 66 minutes into the game, Belgium's Edward Vanderstraeten nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Adam Adamski made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-3. 70 minutes into the match, Sociedad Anónima's goalkeeper Adam Adamski had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Edward Vanderstraeten. The audience was convinced that Edward Vanderstraeten's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Adam Adamski was relentless in the 76th minute of the game. Innocenzio Sesse charged in rather forcefully in the 76th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Innocenzio Sesse the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Sociedad Anónima's Adam Adamski proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 86th minute of the match, managed to save Sociedad Anónima from getting a goal against them. In the 88th minute, Edward Vanderstraeten ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Adam Adamski was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-5. Edward Vanderstraeten received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Adam Adamski came out and tried to block the shot, but Edward Vanderstraeten slotted it home off the left post making it 0-6 in the 93rd minute. Goizeder Cepeda's late challenge caught a Belgium's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Goizeder Cepeda helped the player get up and apologised. After 95 played minutes Sociedad Anónima got a freekick which was hit by Goizeder Cepeda. Belgium's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
