Mathijn Doctor was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 67 minutes into the match. After some careless play in the Netherlands defense, Rhett Chevrette kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Arnout Reekers. The Netherlands fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Arnout Reekers should have stopped the shot. Wim Wilmes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 82nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 85 minutes into the game, Netherlands's Gustaaf Groeneveldt nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Mané Moreno made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-3. Thanks to some nice moves Gustaaf Groeneveldt could shoot a difficult shot in the 90th minute, which Mané Moreno however easily saved by the left post. In the 94th match minute, FC Gustavo FPRMZ was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rhett Chevrette to maneuver through the defense. 95 minutes into the match, FC Gustavo FPRMZ's goalkeeper Mané Moreno had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Gustaaf Groeneveldt. When the match was over Netherlands could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than FC Gustavo FPRMZ throughout the match.
