VN Keleler's Velimir Popchev played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Zaccheo Andolina in the 13th minute of play. 16 minutes into the match, Zaccheo Andolina notched a goal, 1-2, to the right of VN Keleler's Velimir Popchev. Velimir Popchev was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Flavio Vittori made an important save on a dangerous shot by Hakkı Kenan Pınar in the 29th minute. Sigfrido Auletta's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Velimir Popchev read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 31st minute of play. Flavio Vittori showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Andreas Lund, who was totally free with the ball in the 35th minute. Zaccheo Andolina's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Velimir Popchev read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 37th minute of play. Velimir Popchev took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Zaccheo Andolina, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. VN Keleler's Velimir Popchev played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Zaccheo Andolina in the 43rd minute of play. But to his dismay, Zaccheo Andolina quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-3. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-3.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Stuart Byman stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 52nd minute of the match Andreas Lund shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Flavio Vittori showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Flavio Vittori made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Seyit Bozbey in the 56th minute of play. Zaccheo Andolina scored 1-4 in the 60th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Velimir Popchev, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 63rd minute Stuart Byman shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Flavio Vittori saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Flavio Vittori made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Seyit Bozbey in the 65th minute of play. Sigfrido Auletta could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 69th minute of the match, but Velimir Popchev made a huge save. 71 minutes into the game, Italy's Zaccheo Andolina nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Velimir Popchev made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-5. 74 minutes into the match, Italy's goal looked a bit too open when Stuart Byman came free, but Flavio Vittori reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The audience was convinced that Zaccheo Andolina's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Velimir Popchev was relentless in the 75th minute of the game. Flavio Vittori showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Hakkı Kenan Pınar, who was totally free with the ball in the 76th minute. In the 77th minute, Hakkı Kenan Pınar made a precise shot to the right of Flavio Vittori. Italy's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-5. Velimir Popchev showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Zaccheo Andolina in the 81st minute of the match. Italy made a substitution. Sansone Vanella replaced Gianpaolo Mascari. Italy's Adriano Curto was substituted for Zaccheo Andolina. Seyit Bozbey made in the 86th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Italy's Siricio Liotta. Adriano Curto struck a weak shot in the 87th minute. Velimir Popchev didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Italy. The throw-in from Pedrão Lira in the 91st minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Italy's Gomberto Picozzi. Adriano Curto sent away a hard shot on goal in the 92nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. VN Keleler's defense didn't have a chance, in the 96th minute, when Adriano Curto scored to the left of an out of position Velimir Popchev, making the score, 2-6. The Italy supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Italy would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
