In the 10th minute Daniel Pimentel shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Carlos Baptista saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ersen Bumba received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 13th minute. Wilson Amorim tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 16 played minutes ЧΙ ƝƖ̇ƘƠMЄƊƖ̇ƛ ƑƘ got a freekick which was hit by Atilla Tarkan Ulgu. ЧΙ ƝƖ̇ƘƠMЄƊƖ̇ƛ ƑƘ's Carlos Baptista played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Daniel Pimentel in the 17th minute of play. Ersen Bumba blasted a shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Wilson Amorim having to make a save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Viriato Moura in the 21st minute of play forced ЧΙ ƝƖ̇ƘƠMЄƊƖ̇ƛ ƑƘ's goalkeeper Carlos Baptista to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When the match clock showed 21 minutes, the score became 0-1 when Viriato Moura sped through ЧΙ ƝƖ̇ƘƠMЄƊƖ̇ƛ ƑƘ's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Carlos Baptista. Ersen Bumba in the 26thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Wilson Amorim came out of the goal in the 30th minute to try and stop a shot by ЧΙ ƝƖ̇ƘƠMЄƊƖ̇ƛ ƑƘ's Ersen Bumba. But to his dismay, Ersen Bumba quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. Ersen Bumba had several of the Portugal's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 33 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 2-1 score and a disappointed Wilson Amorim as he didn't even see the shot coming. 37 minutes into the match, ЧΙ ƝƖ̇ƘƠMЄƊƖ̇ƛ ƑƘ's goal looked a bit too open when Felipe Barreto came free, but Carlos Baptista reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Carlos Baptista took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Felipe Barreto, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 40th minute the ball was on its way in behind ЧΙ ƝƖ̇ƘƠMЄƊƖ̇ƛ ƑƘ's goalkeeper Carlos Baptista, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Viriato Moura in the 41st minute of play forced ЧΙ ƝƖ̇ƘƠMЄƊƖ̇ƛ ƑƘ's goalkeeper Carlos Baptista to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Bruno Bastos kicked well hit freekick during the 42nd minute of the match. In the 46th minute of the match, Atilla Tarkan Ulgu got a very nice opportunity to score, but Wilson Amorim was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Ersen Bumba blasted a shot towards the goal in the 57th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Wilson Amorim having to make a save. ЧΙ ƝƖ̇ƘƠMЄƊƖ̇ƛ ƑƘ's Emre Mor was substituted for Atilla Tarkan Ulgu. Portugal made a substitution. Felipinho Amorim replaced Felipe Barreto. Portugal's attentive Bruno Bastos managed to snatch the ball when Ayvaz Tanay made a throw-in in the 67th minute of the game. 76 minutes into the game, Ayvaz Tanay threw the ball into play from the sideline. Portugal's Bruno Bastos quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. In the 78th minute Bartolomeu Dias shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Carlos Baptista saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Carlos Baptista showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bartolomeu Dias in the 82nd minute of the match. Felipinho Amorim could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 84th minute of the match, but Carlos Baptista made a huge save. Ayvaz Tanay made in the 85th minute of the game a sloppy throw-in which José Sand however managed to control. The throw-in from Bruno Bastos in the 87th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by ЧΙ ƝƖ̇ƘƠMЄƊƖ̇ƛ ƑƘ's Miroslaw Majorski. If Ersen Bumba had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 91 played minutes Portugal got a freekick which was hit by Bruno Bastos. Felipinho Amorim could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 96th minute of the match, but Carlos Baptista made a huge save. The second half was just like the first, even and exciting. The match ended in a draw.
