Robert Collen could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 24th minute of the match, but Arnout Reekers made a huge save. After a rather tough play, Netherlands's Kees Mooiweer got a free kick in the 29th minute. Azmi Bilkan's late challenge caught a Netherlands's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Azmi Bilkan helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Netherlands booed when KOO Tigers was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 43 match minutes in a wonderful position. Azmi Bilkan didn't get a good kick on the ball. Gijsbert ter Kruimer took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 45th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Uğuralp Vasfi. KOO Tigers's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

Gijsbert ter Kruimer received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 55th minute. Uğuralp Vasfi tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. KOO Tigers made a substitution. Xiao Yu Chao replaced Namık Kemal Eker. The crowd rose to their feet as Lars Meesters kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Uğuralp Vasfi. That made the score 0-2 in the 57 minute of play. Uğuralp Vasfi took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gijsbert ter Kruimer, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Azmi Bilkan was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 64 minutes had been played. Azmi Bilkan kicked well hit freekick during the 65th minute of the match. KOO Tigers's Selçuk Talayman was substituted for Mickey Rothwell. Azmi Bilkan hit a great freekick 66 minutes into the match. 69 minutes into the match, KOO Tigers's goal looked a bit too open when Wim Wilmes came free, but Uğuralp Vasfi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Netherlands's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
