In the 2nd match minute, Leão de Judá was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gláuber Ramalho to maneuver through the defense. Antal Valentin's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Gadiel Gadov read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 7th minute of play. Katona Janos was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 13 minutes into the match. In the 13th minute, one of Hungary:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Hungary. Fodor Daniel took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gláuber Ramalho, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Major Barna in the 29th minute of play forced Leão de Judá's goalkeeper Gadiel Gadov to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Major Barna blasted a shot towards the goal in the 30th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Gadiel Gadov having to make a save. Gadiel Gadov showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Hegedus Henrik, who was totally free with the ball in the 32nd minute. Major Barna's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Gadiel Gadov read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 36th minute of play. Hungary were awarded a corner in the 37th minute after Leão de Judá's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Antal Valentin took the corner. When Cristiano Azevedo came up free with the goalie in the 43rd minute, the Leão de Judá fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Cristiano Azevedo couldn't finish the play. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Major Barna to make the kick off. When Caetano De Bruyne came up free with the goalie in the 50th minute, the Leão de Judá fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Caetano De Bruyne couldn't finish the play. With a little luck, Leão de Judá's Gadiel Gadov got control of the ball when Major Barna tried to sneak it across the goal line. After 57 played minutes Hungary got a freekick which was hit by Antal Valentin. In the 62nd minute Bernardinho de Brito shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fodor Daniel saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Fodor Daniel showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gláuber Ramalho in the 67th minute of the match. When Gláuber Ramalho fell near the penalty area in the 74th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Leão de Judá's protests and gave Gláuber Ramalho a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Leão de Judá's Gláuber Ramalho got a free kick in the 75th minute. Freddy Rincón's late challenge caught a Hungary's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Freddy Rincón helped the player get up and apologised. The Leão de Judá players were eager to celebrate when the final whistle sounded. They had somehow managed to win, even though the away team had held the majority of the possession.
