Alex Cunea could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 10th minute of the match, but Arnout Reekers made a huge save. 13 minutes into the match, Rasnita's goal looked a bit too open when Gustaaf Groeneveldt came free, but Flavius Ferenț reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Arnout Reekers showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sebastian Toacsen in the 14th minute of the match. Flavius Ferenț made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gustaaf Groeneveldt in the 15th minute of play. In the 15th minute, Gustaaf Groeneveldt made a precise shot to the right of Flavius Ferenț. Rasnita's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. Arnout Reekers showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alex Cunea, who was totally free with the ball in the 18th minute. Sebastian Toacsen received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 20th minute. Arnout Reekers tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Gustaaf Groeneveldt in the 23rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Flavius Ferenț saved Rasnita from getting behind. Rareș Vanghelie hit a great freekick 25 minutes into the match. The audience was convinced that Sebastian Toacsen's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Arnout Reekers was relentless in the 38th minute of the game. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Gijsbert ter Kruimer to strike the kick off in the second half. Flavius Ferenț made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gijsbert ter Kruimer in the 51st minute of play. Flavius Ferenț made an important save on a dangerous shot by Gustaaf Groeneveldt in the 54th minute. Gijsbert ter Kruimer hit a great freekick 60 minutes into the match. Thanks to some nice moves Gustaaf Groeneveldt could shoot a difficult shot in the 75th minute, which Flavius Ferenț however easily saved by the left post. Flavius Ferenț showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lars Meesters in the 78th minute of the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Sebastian Toacsen in the 80th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Arnout Reekers prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Flavius Ferenț made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gijsbert ter Kruimer in the 85th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Rasnita's zone, Gijsbert ter Kruimer stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Flavius Ferenț came out of the goal and Gijsbert ter Kruimer tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Sergiu Baldazar kicked well hit freekick during the 93rd minute of the match. Flavius Ferenț made a fantastic save in the 93rd minute, when Gijsbert ter Kruimer sent off a good shot on target. Gijsbert ter Kruimer received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 95th minute. Flavius Ferenț tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The Netherlands supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Netherlands would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
