Mikkel Wulff fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 43rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Casper Kleen having to interfere. After some careless play in the Mean Machine defense, Bertram Svenningsen kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Casper Kleen. The Mean Machine fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Casper Kleen should have stopped the shot.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Chris Nygaard was the one to do the kick off. Emanuel Stål charged in rather forcefully in the 54th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The audience thought a goal was coming when Chris Nygaard got free with Casper Kleen in the 72nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Casper Kleen showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lars Steen in the 78th minute of the match. In the 80th match minute, Mean Machine was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Edmund Holmgren to maneuver through the defense. In the 81st minute, Bjarne Kirkegaard hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Mikkel Wulff sent away a hard shot on goal in the 86th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Chris Nygaard in the 88th minute of play forced Mean Machine's goalkeeper Casper Kleen to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 93 played minutes Mean Machine got a freekick which was hit by Lars Frykberg. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Chris Nygaard in the 96th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Casper Kleen prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Denmark played a much better game than Mean Machine and deserved their victory. The Mean Machine players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
