The audience thought a goal was coming when Harry Styles got free with Flavio Vittori in the 25th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 28thth minute of the game Fulgencio Nikola who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Italy's Flavio Vittori was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Zaccheo Andolina's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Adolfo Grau read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 32nd minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Brujas KV's zone, Sigfrido Auletta stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Adolfo Grau came out of the goal and Sigfrido Auletta tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 36 minutes into the match, Italy's goalkeeper Flavio Vittori had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Fulgencio Nikola. 39 minutes into the game, Zaccheo Andolina cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-3. Adolfo Grau was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Adolfo Grau showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Zaccheo Andolina in the 42nd minute of the match. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-3.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Zaccheo Andolina was the one to do the kick off. Flavio Vittori stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Zachary Pliszka's shot from short distance in the 58th minute. Adolfo Grau made an important save on a dangerous shot by Porziano Marchitelli in the 92nd minute. Italy played a much better game than Brujas KV and deserved their victory. The Brujas KV players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
