In the 4th minute Roy de Boer shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tommy Kahn saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 7 played minutes Germany got a freekick which was hit by Albin Holweck. With a little luck, Germany's Tommy Kahn got control of the ball when Roy de Boer tried to sneak it across the goal line. Germany's Tommy Kahn proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 14th minute of the match, managed to save Germany from getting a goal against them. After 16 minutes, Adrian Dreifuss mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Germany and the FC Real Leonana players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of FC Real Leonana booed when Germany was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 16 match minutes in a wonderful position. Adrian Dreifuss didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Frank Sachs in the 17th minute of play forced FC Real Leonana's goalkeeper Casper Hulsebos to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Júlio Gentil got free with Tommy Kahn in the 28th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 31 minutes into the match, Frank Sachs notched a goal, 1-2, to the right of FC Real Leonana's Casper Hulsebos. Casper Hulsebos was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Albin Holweck's late challenge caught a FC Real Leonana's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Albin Holweck helped the player get up and apologised. In the 38th minute, Albin Holweck hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After some fancy dribbling in the 39th minute, Frank Sachs managed to get in a good position for a shot. Germany's supporters rose to their feet, but Frank Sachs was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Casper Hulsebos breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 45 minutes into the match, Júlio Gentil had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Tommy Kahn. Germany's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Júlio Gentil was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-2.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Júlio Gentil to strike the kick off in the second half. Adrian Dreifuss got his second yellow card in the match during the 69th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. In the 79th minute, Chris Mergenthaler had to be helped off the field due to a pulled leg muscle. Júlio Gentil's late challenge caught a Germany's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Júlio Gentil helped the player get up and apologised. Germany made a substitution. Valentin Lindner replaced Chris Mergenthaler. The supporters of Germany booed when FC Real Leonana was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 81 match minutes in a wonderful position. Júlio Gentil didn't get a good kick on the ball. Stamatis Pegiadis took the ball and in the 86 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Tommy Kahn. Tommy Kahn dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 4-2. In the 93rd minute, Sven Krakouer hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The audience held their breath when Dong Quan in the 95th minute of the game managed to trick the opponents defenses and fired away a shot outside the goal on the Tommy Kahn's left hand side. FC Real Leonana walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
