An unexpectedly hard shot by Major Barna in the 5th minute of play forced AD Pontassolense's goalkeeper Gentil Macieira to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 7 minutes into the match, AD Pontassolense's Januário Domingos sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Fodor Daniel narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Giuseppe Catarinense recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 12th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Antal Valentin in the 14th minute of play forced AD Pontassolense's goalkeeper Gentil Macieira to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 16th minute Major Barna shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gentil Macieira saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 18th minute, AD Pontassolense's Januário Domingos ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Fodor Daniel. Fodor Daniel yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-0. Major Barna struck a weak shot in the 23rd minute. Gentil Macieira didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Hungary. In the 25th match minute, AD Pontassolense was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by José Eanes to maneuver through the defense. Gentil Macieira showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Major Barna, who was totally free with the ball in the 26th minute. 31 minutes into the match, Hungary's goalkeeper Fodor Daniel had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Januário Domingos. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Giuseppe Catarinense in the 37th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Fodor Daniel saved Hungary from getting behind. Hungary's Fodor Daniel proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 41st minute of the match, managed to save Hungary from getting a goal against them. In the 42nd minute Januário Domingos shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fodor Daniel saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Januário Domingos stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. With a little luck, AD Pontassolense's Gentil Macieira got control of the ball when Major Barna tried to sneak it across the goal line. If Januário Domingos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 54th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. AD Pontassolense's Gentil Macieira played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Major Barna in the 62nd minute of play. Fodor Daniel showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Giuseppe Catarinense in the 67th minute of the match. In the 70th minute Januário Domingos shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fodor Daniel saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Fodor Daniel took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Januário Domingos, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Antal Valentin fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 73rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gentil Macieira having to interfere. In the 76th minute, Januário Domingos got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Giuseppe Catarinense hit a great freekick 82 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nuno Madruga in the 86th minute of play forced Hungary's goalkeeper Fodor Daniel to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Fodor Daniel took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Giuseppe Catarinense, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 93rd minute, Antal Valentin sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and AD Pontassolense's Gentil Macieira didn't even have to move. After a rather tough play, Hungary's Takacs Tibor got a free kick in the 94th minute. Major Barna could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 96th minute of the match, but Gentil Macieira made a huge save.
