In the 13th minute Samuele Kunz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tomé Montenegro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 19th minute the ball was on its way in behind Switzerland's goalkeeper Hias Nüssli, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The supporters of Switzerland booed when Ferreira Lopes MZC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 20 match minutes in a wonderful position. Franklin Souza didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a rather tough play, Ferreira Lopes MZC's Cláudio das Neves got a free kick in the 26th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 30th minute, Dida Teixeira managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ferreira Lopes MZC's supporters rose to their feet, but Dida Teixeira was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Hias Nüssli breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Cláudio das Neves hit a great freekick 33 minutes into the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Ronaldo Alcântara in the 36th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Hias Nüssli prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Ronaldo Alcântara could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 38th minute of the match, but Hias Nüssli made a huge save. Ronaldo Alcântara struck a weak shot in the 40th minute. Hias Nüssli was a little too slow when Ronaldo Alcântara got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 42nd minute. The score was now 1-1. Ronaldo Alcântara took the ball and in the 47 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Hias Nüssli. Hias Nüssli dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-1. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

In the 64th minute, Ronaldo Alcântara made a precise shot to the right of Hias Nüssli. Switzerland's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 5-1. After 66 played minutes Ferreira Lopes MZC got a freekick which was hit by Tico Machado. When Ronaldo Alcântara came up free with the goalie in the 69th minute, the Ferreira Lopes MZC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ronaldo Alcântara couldn't finish the play. Franklin Souza's late challenge caught a Switzerland's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Franklin Souza helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Ferreira Lopes MZC getting a freekick after 72 minutes play. Franklin Souza hit a great ball. In the 73rd minute, Ronaldo Alcântara left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Ferreira Lopes MZC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 6-1. Dida Teixeira recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 77th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Dedé Paiva kicked well hit freekick during the 81st minute of the match. 84 minutes into the game, Gustav Iseli threw the ball into play from the sideline. Ferreira Lopes MZC's Luka Beaugendre quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. Tomé Montenegro made an important save on a dangerous shot by Samuele Kunz in the 87th minute. Jacinto Maurer charged in rather forcefully in the 93rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Jacinto Maurer the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 93 played minutes Switzerland got a freekick which was hit by Jacinto Maurer. Dida Teixeira's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Hias Nüssli read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 95th minute of play. In the 96th minute, Ronaldo Alcântara got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Ferreira Lopes MZC were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Switzerland for a fine match.
