In the 17th minute Antal Valentin shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ask Stamnes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Katona Janos kicked well hit freekick during the 47th minute of the match. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The supporters of Hungary booed when Boulogne F.C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 51 match minutes in a wonderful position. Desiderio Bihar didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 56th match minute, Hungary was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Hegedus Henrik to maneuver through the defense. After some fancy dribbling in the 58th minute, Saverio Sagrario managed to get in a good position for a shot. Boulogne F.C.'s supporters rose to their feet, but Saverio Sagrario was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Fodor Daniel breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 59 minutes, Desiderio Bihar mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Boulogne F.C. and the Hungary players grew even worse after the yellow card. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Modesto Tiso in the 85th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Fodor Daniel prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Fodor Daniel made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Modesto Tiso in the 90th minute of play. After 91 played minutes Hungary got a freekick which was hit by Major Barna. In the 96th minute, Hegedus Henrik hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field.
