Italy's Siricio Liotta got a good chance for a goal in the 8th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 12 played minutes AKÇEŞMESPOR got a freekick which was hit by Gogo Chuse. Flavio Vittori showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Babür Kongurtay in the 19th minute of the match. In the 21st minute the ball was on its way in behind AKÇEŞMESPOR's goalkeeper Cláudio Taffarel, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. If Gogo Chuse had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 24th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Don Mateo made in the 32nd minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Songur Ünlüer.
