Tomás Xacintu took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 4th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Wilson Amorim. Portugal's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. A collision led to Dionisia getting a freekick after 8 minutes play. Tomás Xacintu hit a great ball. Evaristo Benet could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 15th minute of the match, but Wilson Amorim made a huge save. In the 21st minute, Portugal's Raul Caetano seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Raul Caetano the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Portugal protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Raul Caetano had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. Felipe Barreto might have been able to make a better finish in the 41st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Aquiles Senio. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Felipe Barreto ran back to his position shaking his head. Aquiles Senio made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Felipe Barreto in the 41st minute of play. Aquiles Senio showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Felipe Barreto, who was totally free with the ball in the 43rd minute. 44 minutes into the match, Portugal's Felipe Barreto sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Aquiles Senio narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 46th minute of the game. One of Dionisia:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Portugal:s goal. After 47 minutes of play, Portugal's Felipe Barreto made it 2-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Aquiles Senio was left in no man's land by his defense there!
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Arnaldo Beturian made a kick off. Dionisia's Denis Ereinotz was substituted for Melchor Gregory. Portugal's Daniel Pimentel quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Cheng Xiong Yuan, made in the 60th minute of the game. Aquiles Senio made an important save on a dangerous shot by Felipe Barreto in the 61st minute. 68 minutes into the match, Dionisia's goal looked a bit too open when Caetano Moreira came free, but Aquiles Senio reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. But to his dismay, Felipinho Amorim quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-3. Aquiles Senio made an important save on a dangerous shot by Felipinho Amorim in the 84th minute. Wilson Amorim came out of the goal in the 86th minute to try and stop a shot by Dionisia's Arnaldo Beturian. But to his dismay, Arnaldo Beturian quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 5-3. Portugal's Daniel Pimentel quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Cheng Xiong Yuan, made in the 94th minute of the game. After some fancy dribbling in the 97th minute, Denis Ereinotz managed to get in a good position for a shot. Dionisia's supporters rose to their feet, but Denis Ereinotz was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Wilson Amorim breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Dionisia walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
