Edward Vanderstraeten's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Richard Mühsam read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 5th minute of play. Codrin Peter kicked well hit freekick during the 9th minute of the match. 10 minutes into the game, Edward Vanderstraeten cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Richard Mühsam was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 14 minutes into the match, Belgium's goal looked a bit too open when Karsten Zentner came free, but Casper Claes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Richard Mühsam took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Edward Vanderstraeten, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Casper Claes made an important save on a dangerous shot by Karsten Zentner in the 23rd minute. After a defensive mix-up in FC Germania München's zone, Edward Vanderstraeten stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Richard Mühsam came out of the goal and Edward Vanderstraeten tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 28 minutes into the match, Belgium's goalkeeper Casper Claes had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Kasper Rechkemmer. Richard Mühsam showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Yves Dervaux in the 31st minute of the match. Richard Mühsam showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Edward Vanderstraeten, who was totally free with the ball in the 37th minute. After some careless play in the FC Germania München defense, Siebe Michiels kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Richard Mühsam. The FC Germania München fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Richard Mühsam should have stopped the shot. A collision led to Belgium getting a freekick after 42 minutes play. Edward Vanderstraeten hit a great ball.

The wind increased when Kasper Rechkemmer made the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Noel Hägele in the 51st minute of play forced Belgium's goalkeeper Casper Claes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 53rd minute FC Germania München were awarded a corner. Raitis Porītis went to the cornerflag to take it. Richard Mühsam showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Edward Vanderstraeten, who was totally free with the ball in the 55th minute. Edward Vanderstraeten might have been able to make a better finish in the 56th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Richard Mühsam. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Edward Vanderstraeten ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 56th minute the ball was on its way in behind FC Germania München's goalkeeper Richard Mühsam, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 58 minutes into the match, Belgium's Edward Vanderstraeten sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Richard Mühsam narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 60th minute the ball was on its way in behind FC Germania München's goalkeeper Richard Mühsam, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After a rather tough play, Belgium's Yves Dervaux got a free kick in the 86th minute. Yves Dervaux received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 91st minute. Richard Mühsam tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 93rd minute Kasper Rechkemmer shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Casper Claes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Edward Vanderstraeten's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Richard Mühsam firmly grabbed it by the left post. Belgium played a much better game than FC Germania München and deserved their victory. The FC Germania München players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
