The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After some careless play in the Büyükada Commandos defense, Wim Wilmes kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Alperen Bozkurt. The Büyükada Commandos fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Alperen Bozkurt should have stopped the shot. After 5 played minutes Netherlands got a freekick which was hit by David Eikelkamp. In the 7th minute, Bas Tuitert hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Büyükada Commandos's Aris Mitrou shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 8th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Arnout Reekers but with some difficulty. Büyükada Commandos's Alperen Bozkurt played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gijsbert ter Kruimer in the 10th minute of play. Behzat Amir received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 11th minute. Arnout Reekers tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 13th minute, Yavuz Selimhan İltan hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. A collision led to Büyükada Commandos getting a freekick after 17 minutes play. Hílton Vasconcelos hit a great ball. Alperen Bozkurt showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Wim Wilmes, who was totally free with the ball in the 23rd minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Yavuz Selimhan İltan during the 24th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Büyükada Commandos's Yavuz Selimhan İltan got a free kick in the 24th minute. Büyükada Commandos's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Aris Mitrou in the 35th minute. The corner ended in Anıl Cenk Eskicioğlu almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Netherlands's Arnout Reekers did a great save. The Büyükada Commandos players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Netherlands were winning 0-2.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Jimmy-Floyd Hasselbaink was the one to do the kick off. In the 51st minute Wim Wilmes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alperen Bozkurt saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Arnout Reekers made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jimmy-Floyd Hasselbaink in the 52nd minute of play. Alperen Bozkurt didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Wim Wilmes went, in the 54th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-3 was the resulting score. Alperen Bozkurt stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Gijsbert ter Kruimer's shot from short distance in the 56th minute. Arnout Reekers stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Jimmy-Floyd Hasselbaink's shot from short distance in the 62nd minute. Büyükada Commandos's Alperen Bozkurt proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 67th minute of the match, managed to save Büyükada Commandos from getting a goal against them. In the 69thth minute of the game Jimmy-Floyd Hasselbaink who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Netherlands's Arnout Reekers was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lars Meesters in the 80th minute of play forced Büyükada Commandos's goalkeeper Alperen Bozkurt to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 82 played minutes Netherlands got a freekick which was hit by Mathijn Doctor. Arnout Reekers showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jimmy-Floyd Hasselbaink in the 84th minute of the match. Alperen Bozkurt took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Wim Wilmes, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Wim Wilmes in the 87th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Alperen Bozkurt prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Arnout Reekers made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Behzat Amir in the 88th minute of play. 93 minutes into the game, Büyükada Commandos's Jimmy-Floyd Hasselbaink nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Arnout Reekers made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-3. Netherlands played a much better game than Büyükada Commandos and deserved their victory. The Büyükada Commandos players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
