The audience thought a goal was coming when Jerzy Urban got free with Fodor Daniel in the 14th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. If Antal Valentin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 23rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After 88 played minutes 1. FC Krotoszyn got a freekick which was hit by Franciszek Bienienda. In the 89th minute, Szekeres Tamas hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When the referee blew the final whistle, you could see the dissatisfaction in the Hungary players' eyes. They were disappointed they hadn't taken more from the game.
