Wilson Amorim made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fatih Özbay in the 19th minute of play. In the 19th minute, Fatih Özbay left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The FC WAWER fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-0. Felipe Barreto sent away a hard shot on goal in the 22nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. FC WAWER's David Ferran played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Caetano Moreira in the 32nd minute of play. 36 minutes had been played when some careless play by Portugal's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Rostyslav Leonenko was slow to take the kick. During this time FC WAWER's players had a chance to rest. After taking down the ball on FC WAWER's corner Rostyslav Leonenko fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Wilson Amorim quite easily take care of the ball. In the 37th minute Mai Zhen shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Wilson Amorim saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 40 minutes, Viriato Moura made it 2-2 with a short kick to the right side. FC WAWER's David Ferran tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Fatih Özbay's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Wilson Amorim read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 43rd minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Viriato Moura in the 44th minute of play forced FC WAWER's goalkeeper David Ferran to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. FC WAWER's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Portugal walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
