The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 3rd minute, Edinho Cerezo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Ahmet-Sela-Yunus-Emre Cavia made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Viriato Moura in the 10th minute of play. Ahmet-Sela-Yunus-Emre Cavia didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Felipe Barreto went, in the 12th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. When Tomasz Binau fell near the penalty area in the 16th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored FC Cavia Pyskowice's protests and gave Tomasz Binau a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to FC Cavia Pyskowice getting a freekick after 17 minutes play. Tomasz Binau hit a great ball. In the 18th minute of the match Felipe Barreto shot from a long distance. Felipe Barreto might have been able to make a better finish in the 40th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Ahmet-Sela-Yunus-Emre Cavia. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Felipe Barreto ran back to his position shaking his head. FC Cavia Pyskowice's Ahmet-Sela-Yunus-Emre Cavia played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Felipe Barreto in the 40th minute of play. Wilson Amorim showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Stamen Tekeliev, who was totally free with the ball in the 46th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Felipe Barreto in the 47th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ahmet-Sela-Yunus-Emre Cavia saved FC Cavia Pyskowice from getting behind. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

In the 57th minute, Stamen Tekeliev left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The FC Cavia Pyskowice fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 4-1. In the 61stth minute of the game Stamen Tekeliev who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Portugal's Wilson Amorim was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 62nd minute Caetano Moreira shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ahmet-Sela-Yunus-Emre Cavia saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Portugal's Felipinho Amorim was substituted for Felipe Barreto. FC Cavia Pyskowice's Miska Cavia was substituted for Stamen Tekeliev. Felipinho Amorim could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 75th minute of the match, but Ahmet-Sela-Yunus-Emre Cavia made a huge save. Wilson Amorim made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Miska Cavia in the 76th minute of play. If Edward Jaraczewski had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 79th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ahmet-Sela-Yunus-Emre Cavia stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Caetano Moreira's shot from short distance in the 83rd minute. Felipinho Amorim sent away a hard shot on goal in the 85th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 89th minute Miska Cavia shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Wilson Amorim saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Portugal's Wilson Amorim played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Miska Cavia in the 91st minute of play. After a rather tough play, FC Cavia Pyskowice's Ilari Eklund got a free kick in the 96th minute. Portugal's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
