Paços de Ferreira's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Sigfrido Auletta was slow to take the kick. During this time Italy's players had a chance to rest. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-4.

Paços de Ferreira's goal looked a bit too open when Guiscardo Davide came free, but Miguel Poças reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 90 minutes into the match, Guiscardo Davide had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Miguel Poças. F.C. Paços de Ferreira's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Guiscardo Davide was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-8. Miguel Poças made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Adriano Curto in the 94th minute of play. If Guiscardo Davide had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 95th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
