Fabricio Andrade hit a great freekick 4 minutes into the match. In the 5th minute, José Bomba ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Wilson Amorim was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. In the 12th minute of the match F.C. Paços de Ferreira got a corner. Portugal's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Igor Tudor ran over to the corner to take the kick. Miguel Poças stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Felipe Barreto's shot from short distance in the 15th minute. With an all-out effort, F.C. Paços de Ferreira's Wilson Amorim threw himself towards the right post 19 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from José Bomba, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Wilson Amorim took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from José Bomba, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Wilson Amorim made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from José Bomba in the 22nd minute of play. Miguel Poças showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Felipe Barreto in the 24th minute of the match. Fabricio Andrade took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 30th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Miguel Poças. F.C. Paços de Ferreira's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. José Bomba's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Wilson Amorim read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 32nd minute of play. Faustino Almeida made in the 33rd minute of the game a quick throw-in and Fabricio Andrade immediately put the ball in play. Felipe Barreto blasted a shot towards the goal in the 39th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Miguel Poças having to make a save. F.C. Paços de Ferreira's Miguel Poças played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Felipe Barreto in the 39th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Caetano Moreira in the 41st minute of play forced F.C. Paços de Ferreira's goalkeeper Miguel Poças to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 45 played minutes F.C. Paços de Ferreira got a freekick which was hit by Quintino Fonseca. Felipe Barreto received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 47th minute. Miguel Poças tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and José Bomba made a kick off. With a little luck, F.C. Paços de Ferreira's Miguel Poças got control of the ball when Felipe Barreto tried to sneak it across the goal line. F.C. Paços de Ferreira's Miguel Poças played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Viriato Moura in the 56th minute of play. Miguel Poças made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Felipe Barreto in the 58th minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Viriato Moura in the 60th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Miguel Poças saved F.C. Paços de Ferreira from getting behind. When Portugal's Viriato Moura in the 61st minute got a chance for a shot 61st didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye F.C. Paços de Ferreira's goalie prevented a goal. F.C. Paços de Ferreira's Miguel Poças played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Viriato Moura in the 61st minute of play. Viriato Moura sent away a hard shot on goal in the 67th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Portugal's Bartolomeu Dias was substituted for Viriato Moura. Miguel Poças showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Bartolomeu Dias, who was totally free with the ball in the 71st minute. Felipinho Amorim received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Miguel Poças came out and tried to block the shot, but Felipinho Amorim slotted it home off the left post making it 1-1 in the 74th minute. F.C. Paços de Ferreira's Fabrício Travassos was substituted for João Maia. After a defensive mix-up in Portugal's zone, José Bomba stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Wilson Amorim came out of the goal and José Bomba tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Miguel Poças showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Caetano Moreira, who was totally free with the ball in the 86th minute. Portugal's attentive Bruno Bastos managed to snatch the ball when Quintino Fonseca made a throw-in in the 89th minute of the game. In the 93rd minute Caetano Moreira shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Miguel Poças saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. F.C. Paços de Ferreira were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Portugal for a fine match.
