Maravilla's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Hungary the free kick. After 3 played minutes Maravilla got a freekick which was hit by Tobias Banegas. Major Barna sent away a hard shot on goal in the 6th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Balazs Lajos sent away a hard shot on goal in the 9th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Paulo Arnau kicked well hit freekick during the 11th minute of the match. Antal Valentin blasted a shot towards the goal in the 14th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Marcelo Barovero having to make a save. In the 15th minute Antal Valentin shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marcelo Barovero saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 17th minute, Balazs Lajos managed to get in a good position for a shot. Hungary's supporters rose to their feet, but Balazs Lajos was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Marcelo Barovero breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Hungary's Hegedus Henrik suffered a sore thigh after 26 minutes and couldn't finish the game. Hungary's Balazs Norbert was substituted for Hegedus Henrik. After 27 played minutes Maravilla got a freekick which was hit by Paulo Arnau. In the 28th minute, Major Barna made a precise shot to the right of Marcelo Barovero. Maravilla's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. After 33 minutes of play, Hungary's Antal Valentin made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Marcelo Barovero was left in no man's land by his defense there! Katona Janos might have been able to make a better finish in the 37th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Marcelo Barovero. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Katona Janos ran back to his position shaking his head. The audience was convinced that Major Barna's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Marcelo Barovero was relentless in the 38th minute of the game. In the 42nd minute Iván Leguizamón shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fodor Daniel saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to Maravilla getting a freekick after 42 minutes play. Eliseo Benvide hit a great ball. Hungary's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Antal Valentin in the 45th minute.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Antal Valentin made a kick off. In the 54th minute of the match, Antal Valentin got a very nice opportunity to score, but Marcelo Barovero was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. In the 55th minute of the match Hungary got a corner. Maravilla's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Antal Valentin ran over to the corner to take the kick. When Paulo Arnau was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 57 minutes had been played. The supporters of Hungary booed when Maravilla was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 58 match minutes in a wonderful position. Paulo Arnau didn't get a good kick on the ball. Maravilla's Marcelo Barovero played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Takacs Tibor in the 59th minute of play. In the 65th minute, Damian Cesaro hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 68 minutes into the match, Maravilla's goal looked a bit too open when Major Barna came free, but Marcelo Barovero reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Major Barna had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 69th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After having played for 72 minutes, Balazs Lajos managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Hungary's supporters crossed their fingers, but Balazs Lajos was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Marcelo Barovero made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Major Barna in the 73rd minute of play. Marcelo Barovero made an important save on a dangerous shot by Balazs Norbert in the 76th minute. 77 minutes into the match, Antal Valentin notched a goal, 0-4, to the right of Maravilla's Marcelo Barovero. Marcelo Barovero was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Maravilla's Marcelo Barovero played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Major Barna in the 80th minute of play. The Hungary fans' excitement grew in the 83rd match minute when Hungary's Major Barna looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-5 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Marcelo Barovero made an important save on a dangerous shot by Major Barna in the 88th minute. After 89 played minutes Hungary got a freekick which was hit by Szekeres Tamas. Major Barna sent away a hard shot on goal in the 95th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Iván Leguizamón charged in rather forcefully in the 96th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Iván Leguizamón the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 96th minute, Iván Leguizamón hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The Maravilla fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Hungary were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
