The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Arnout Reekers showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Benito Lluterio, who was totally free with the ball in the 3rd minute. Gijsbert ter Kruimer recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 5th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Netherlands's Arnout Reekers proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 6th minute of the match, managed to save Netherlands from getting a goal against them. If Benito Lluterio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 8th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Kalatakaya F.C.'s Luis Galarza played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Wim Wilmes in the 11th minute of play. Luis Galarza showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Wim Wilmes in the 12th minute of the match. Arnout Reekers made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Recep Guftar in the 19th minute of play. In the 27th minute, Gijsbert ter Kruimer hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Netherlands's Arnout Reekers proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 34th minute of the match, managed to save Netherlands from getting a goal against them. Luis Galarza showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gijsbert ter Kruimer, who was totally free with the ball in the 35th minute. With a little luck, Netherlands's Arnout Reekers got control of the ball when Amável Falcão tried to sneak it across the goal line. Egbert Nijveldt kicked well hit freekick during the 42nd minute of the match. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Benito Lluterio made a kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Recep Guftar in the 53rd minute of play forced Netherlands's goalkeeper Arnout Reekers to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Arnout Reekers made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Amável Falcão in the 57th minute of play. In the 62nd match minute, Netherlands was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Egbert Nijveldt to maneuver through the defense. 64 minutes had been played when some careless play by Netherlands's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Alejandro Chumacero was slow to take the kick. During this time Kalatakaya F.C.'s players had a chance to rest. In the 70th minute Recep Guftar shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Arnout Reekers saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Kalatakaya F.C.'s zone, Lars Meesters stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Luis Galarza came out of the goal and Lars Meesters tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Kalatakaya F.C. made a substitution. Aaron Gauargi replaced Amável Falcão. Kalatakaya F.C. made a substitution. Moises Kelemen replaced Recep Guftar. The supporters of Netherlands booed when Kalatakaya F.C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 80 match minutes in a wonderful position. Luis Cristaldo didn't get a good kick on the ball. Gustaaf Groeneveldt came free with the goalkeeper in the 82nd minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Luis Galarza could save by the left post. In the 93rd minute, Benito Lluterio ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Arnout Reekers was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0.
