After some careless play in the Simbo FC defense, Umberto Dionísio kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Octavio Lauaxeta. The Simbo FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Octavio Lauaxeta should have stopped the shot. Cris Miró kicked well hit freekick during the 15th minute of the match. Teodoro Havier kicked well hit freekick during the 18th minute of the match. Simbo FC's Octavio Lauaxeta played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Umberto Dionísio in the 19th minute of play. A collision led to Castanheiro SC getting a freekick after 23 minutes play. Fellipe da Silva hit a great ball. In the 28th minute Benedito Mineiro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Octavio Lauaxeta saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Lane Rhoades was shown his second yellow card after 30 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. In the 30th minute, Lane Rhoades hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After some fancy dribbling in the 31st minute, Anísio Alagoano managed to get in a good position for a shot. Castanheiro SC's supporters rose to their feet, but Anísio Alagoano was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Octavio Lauaxeta breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Pedrinho Guimarães made a fantastic save in the 40th minute, when Mauricio Jurdan sent off a good shot on target. 41 minutes into the game, Célio Vianna was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Célio Vianna hit a great ball. When Victoriano Banegas fell near the penalty area in the 42nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Simbo FC's protests and gave Victoriano Banegas a yellow card for diving instead. Victoriano Banegas hit a great freekick 42 minutes into the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Umberto Dionísio in the 49th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Octavio Lauaxeta prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-2.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Victoriano Banegas made a kick off. After having played for 54 minutes, Mauricio Jurdan managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Simbo FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Mauricio Jurdan was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Simbo FC made a substitution. Segundo Neron replaced Rogelio Gombal. In the 66th match minute, Castanheiro SC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Benedito Mineiro to maneuver through the defense. In the 79th match minute, Simbo FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Mauricio Jurdan to maneuver through the defense.
