The referee ignored Taura Cupincha-U18's protests and gave Aloísio Zanette a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Taura Cupincha-U18 getting a freekick after 16 minutes play. Aloísio Zanette hit a great ball. Keld Paulsen was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Edinho Tróia showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-0 in the 19 minute of play. Caco Lira made in the 28th minute of the game a sloppy throw-in which Delfim do Vale however managed to control. Edinho Tróia hit a great freekick 32 minutes into the match. If Chris Nygaard had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 40th match minute, Denmark was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Chris Nygaard to maneuver through the defense. Keld Paulsen acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 40th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Caco Lira. In the 41st match minute, Denmark was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Kenn Skou to maneuver through the defense. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Edinho Tróia stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Keld Paulsen showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Delfim do Vale, who was totally free with the ball in the 54th minute. 57 minutes into the match, Denmark's goal looked a bit too open when Delfim do Vale came free, but Keld Paulsen reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Taura Cupincha-U18's Flavinho Breckenfeld was substituted for Elivélton Mineiro. The supporters of Denmark booed when Taura Cupincha-U18 was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 60 match minutes in a wonderful position. Aloísio Zanette didn't get a good kick on the ball. Edinho Tróia scored 3-0 in the 63rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Keld Paulsen, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Keld Paulsen stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Edinho Tróia's shot from short distance in the 67th minute. Chris Nygaard recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 73rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Dadá Lara made in the 76th minute of the game a sloppy throw-in which Delfim do Vale however managed to control. When Mikkel Wulff came up free with the goalie in the 78th minute, the Denmark fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Mikkel Wulff couldn't finish the play. After 79 minutes of play Taura Cupincha-U18's Ernani Cerezo was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. After a rather tough play, Taura Cupincha-U18's Ernani Cerezo got a free kick in the 79th minute. Mikkel Wulff recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 80th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. A throw-in in the 85th minute of the game was made by Caco Lira with Edinho Tróia as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. Denmark's Chris Nygaard got a good chance for a goal in the 88th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Keld Paulsen showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Maicon Tepedino in the 90th minute of the match. The Taura Cupincha-U18 support was delighted with a win in a match that could easily have ended differently.
