After 28 played minutes AFC Cherries got a freekick which was hit by Armando Neves. Filip Kubala made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Takacs Tibor in the 29th minute of play. With a little luck, Hungary's Fodor Daniel got control of the ball when Godfredo Barroso tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 34th minute, Antal Valentin left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Hungary fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Jurij Štencl during the 42nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Jurij Štencl hit a great freekick 42 minutes into the match. Antal Valentin received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 45th minute. Filip Kubala tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Jurij Štencl stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 51 minutes into the match, AFC Cherries's goal looked a bit too open when Hegedus Henrik came free, but Filip Kubala reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. AFC Cherries's Filip Kubala played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Major Barna in the 54th minute of play. Christian Backman charged in rather forcefully in the 63rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Christian Backman the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 62nd minute of the game. One of AFC Cherries:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Hungary:s goal. Fodor Daniel made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Godfredo Barroso in the 66th minute of play. Antal Valentin could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 68th minute of the match, but Filip Kubala made a huge save. 74 minutes into the game, Antal Valentin recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Filip Kubala. Antal Valentin showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-3. Fodor Daniel came out of the goal in the 77th minute to try and stop a shot by AFC Cherries's Jurij Štencl. But to his dismay, Jurij Štencl quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-3. AFC Cherries's Václav Buš was substituted for Jesse Pinkman. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Armando Neves during the 82nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Hungary booed when AFC Cherries was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 82 match minutes in a wonderful position. Armando Neves didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 88th minute, Václav Buš hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. AFC Cherries made a substitution. Luděk Kareš replaced Godfredo Barroso. A collision led to AFC Cherries getting a freekick after 90 minutes play. Václav Buš hit a great ball. After a defensive mix-up in AFC Cherries's zone, Antal Valentin stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Filip Kubala came out of the goal and Antal Valentin tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Luciano Cuenca fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 92nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fodor Daniel having to interfere. Armando Neves was shown his second yellow card after 95 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. After 95 played minutes AFC Cherries got a freekick which was hit by Armando Neves. The AFC Cherries fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Hungary were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
