Emil Wahlström showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Balazs Lajos, who was totally free with the ball in the 3rd minute. Antal Valentin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 4th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 11th minute, Antal Valentin left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Hungary fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. Antal Valentin struck a weak shot in the 14th minute. Emil Wahlström didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Hungary. Fodor Daniel made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Harry Forssell in the 16th minute of play. Hogans Heroes's Emil Wahlström played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Katona Janos in the 22nd minute of play. When Hogans Heroes's Sven-Oskar Åhman in the 27th minute got a chance for a shot 27th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Hungary's goalie prevented a goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 31st minute, Bright Morningstar managed to get in a good position for a shot. Hogans Heroes's supporters rose to their feet, but Bright Morningstar was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Fodor Daniel breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Emil Wahlström showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Antal Valentin in the 37th minute of the match. After 38 minutes Hogans Heroes's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Antal Valentin who took care of the corner kick. Hungary's Fodor Daniel played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sven-Oskar Åhman in the 40th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Antal Valentin in the 41st minute of play forced Hogans Heroes's goalkeeper Emil Wahlström to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Sven-Oskar Åhman in the 47th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Fodor Daniel saved Hungary from getting behind. After the first half Hungary were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Sven-Oskar Åhman stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 50 minutes into the match, Hogans Heroes's goalkeeper Emil Wahlström had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Balazs Lajos. Hungary's Fodor Daniel played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sven-Oskar Åhman in the 52nd minute of play. Emil Wahlström showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Antal Valentin in the 63rd minute of the match. Antal Valentin fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 65th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Emil Wahlström having to interfere. If Leonardo Persson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 68th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to Hogans Heroes getting a freekick after 70 minutes play. Roman Gozdowski hit a great ball. Antal Valentin might have been able to make a better finish in the 81st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Emil Wahlström. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Antal Valentin ran back to his position shaking his head. After 86 minutes Hogans Heroes's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Antal Valentin who took care of the corner kick. Hungary's Boros Benedek was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Emil Wahlström in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Hegedus Henrik recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 94th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 96th minute, Hungary's Major Barna ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Emil Wahlström. Emil Wahlström yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-2. Hungary played a much better game than Hogans Heroes and deserved their victory. The Hogans Heroes players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
