In the 27th match minute, Spain was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Matias Ferrandis to maneuver through the defense. Chumo Salces received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Gabriel Ascaso came out and tried to block the shot, but Chumo Salces slotted it home off the left post making it 1-0 in the 45th minute. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Gabriel Ascaso showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Arí Saron in the 51st minute of the match. 52 minutes into the match, Valle Saron's goal looked a bit too open when David Aranda came free, but Emiliano Saron reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Emiliano Saron made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Adria Bielsa in the 55th minute of play. Spain's Gabriel Ascaso played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Chumo Salces in the 56th minute of play. Valle Saron's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Jon Cubero ran over to the corner to take the kick. Emiliano Saron made a fantastic save in the 85th minute, when Carles Cherro sent off a good shot on target. After 89 played minutes Spain got a freekick which was hit by Jonathan Criado. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Valle Saron fans cheered their team off the field, for while Spain had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
