If Hilario Rayman had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 9th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 11 minutes into the match, Antal Valentin had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Reynaldo Stephen. Club Sportivo Italiano's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Antal Valentin was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Antal Valentin in the 14th minute of play forced Club Sportivo Italiano's goalkeeper Reynaldo Stephen to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Reynaldo Stephen made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Major Barna in the 15th minute of play. Major Barna sent away a hard shot on goal in the 23rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Major Barna's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Reynaldo Stephen read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 27th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 29th minute, Takacs Tibor managed to get in a good position for a shot. Hungary's supporters rose to their feet, but Takacs Tibor was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Reynaldo Stephen breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When Major Barna came up free with the goalie in the 32nd minute, the Hungary fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Major Barna couldn't finish the play. In the 33rdth minute of the game Masao Koriotto who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Hungary's Fodor Daniel was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After some careless play in the Club Sportivo Italiano defense, Takacs Tibor kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Reynaldo Stephen. The Club Sportivo Italiano fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Reynaldo Stephen should have stopped the shot. Fodor Daniel didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Evelio Pes went, in the 38th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-3 was the resulting score. If Antal Valentin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 46 played minutes Club Sportivo Italiano got a freekick which was hit by Evelio Pes. After the first half Hungary were leading 1-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Rogelio Claris hit a great freekick 51 minutes into the match. In the 53rd minute, David Haitz hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Major Barna received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 59th minute. Reynaldo Stephen tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Rogelio Claris kicked well hit freekick during the 60th minute of the match. Major Barna struck a weak shot in the 63rd minute. Reynaldo Stephen didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Hungary. Antal Valentin's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Reynaldo Stephen firmly grabbed it by the left post. The audience thought a goal was coming when Major Barna got free with Reynaldo Stephen in the 76th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Hungary's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Antal Valentin in the 87th minute. Hungary's Antal Valentin was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Reynaldo Stephen in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Takacs Tibor kicked a quick shot right in front of the goal in the 88thth minute. Though ot was a great shot Club Sportivo Italiano's keeper Reynaldo Stephen was sill able to block leaving the score board unchanged. If Evelio Pes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Antal Valentin could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 93rd minute of the match, but Reynaldo Stephen made a huge save. Hungary's Antal Valentin was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Reynaldo Stephen in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Hungary's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
