Spectators: 10300 (Terracing: 7725, Seating: 2369, VIP seats: 206) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Gheorghe Craioveanu started the match with the kick off. Leontin Titulescu kicked well hit freekick during the 2nd minute of the match. Gheorghe Craioveanu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 6th minute. Santa Tecla tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Codrin Buta kicked well hit freekick during the 7th minute of the match. In the 8th minute, Phil Vine got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Santa Tecla took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gheorghe Craioveanu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After taking down the ball on U21 Romania's corner Codruț Bârsan fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Santa Tecla quite easily take care of the ball. 13 minutes into the match, U21 Romania's goalkeeper Jo Ares had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Lucas Gilchrist. After 17 played minutes U21 Andorra got a freekick which was hit by Todd Kidd. In the 22nd minute, Damien Fowler left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The U21 Andorra fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. Santa Tecla showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Leontin Titulescu, who was totally free with the ball in the 25th minute. 30 minutes into the match, U21 Romania's goal looked a bit too open when Lucas Gilchrist came free, but Jo Ares reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some careless play in the U21 Andorra defense, Leontin Titulescu kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Santa Tecla. The U21 Andorra fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Santa Tecla should have stopped the shot. In the 38th minute, Damien Fowler reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Jo Ares. The goal made the score 2-1. In the 41st play minute Damien Fowler came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Jo Ares. 3-1. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 3-1.

Santa Tecla showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Leontin Titulescu in the 51st minute of the match. 54 minutes into the match, U21 Andorra's goal looked a bit too open when Leontin Titulescu came free, but Santa Tecla reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Petre Petrean got free with Santa Tecla in the 59th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Petre Petrean received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Santa Tecla came out and tried to block the shot, but Petre Petrean slotted it home off the left post making it 3-2 in the 59th minute. Santa Tecla took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cristinel Nicodim, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 65 minutes of play, U21 Romania's Cristinel Nicodim made it 3-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Santa Tecla was left in no man's land by his defense there! 69 minutes into the match, U21 Andorra's goal looked a bit too open when Cristinel Nicodim came free, but Santa Tecla reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. U21 Andorra's Santa Tecla played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Leontin Titulescu in the 72nd minute of play. 79 minutes into the match, U21 Romania's goal looked a bit too open when Lucas Gilchrist came free, but Jo Ares reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Santa Tecla made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cristinel Nicodim in the 80th minute of play. 86 minutes into the match, U21 Romania's goal looked a bit too open when Damien Fowler came free, but Jo Ares reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. U21 Romania's Jo Ares played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Damien Fowler in the 87th minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Lucas Gilchrist during the 92nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 92nd minute, Lucas Gilchrist hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Santa Tecla was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 93rd minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Codruț Bârsan. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
