In the 12th minute Peyo Fonelleda shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but David Rotariu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 13 minutes in the game, the ball went up into the seats when Consejo del Mate's Peyo Fonelleda fired away a shot that was just a little bit too high. He walked away shaking his head. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Peyo Fonelleda in the 13th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck David Rotariu prevented the ball from getting in the gole. David Rotariu stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Peyo Fonelleda's shot from short distance in the 13th minute. The Consejo del Mate fans' excitement grew in the 13th match minute when Consejo del Mate's Peyo Fonelleda looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Hugo Orlando Gatti made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Patrick Middendorf in the 16th minute of play. Peyo Fonelleda's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but David Rotariu read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 17th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Peyo Fonelleda in the 19th minute of play forced PoWer SC 2K5's goalkeeper David Rotariu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 20th minute of the match Consejo del Mate got a corner. PoWer SC 2K5's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Xove Høj ran over to the corner to take the kick. A nice corner shot did that Xove Høj got away a dangerous shot. Despite this David Rotariu quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Consejo del Mate's Peyo Fonelleda got a good chance for a goal in the 24th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Hugo Orlando Gatti was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Patrick Middendorf showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-1 in the 25 minute of play. 32 minutes into the match, Consejo del Mate's goalkeeper Hugo Orlando Gatti had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Leroy Kluttig. Santo Lorenz lost his temper 47 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. After the first half Consejo del Mate were leading 1-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.
PoWer SC 2K5's David Rotariu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Peyo Fonelleda in the 54th minute of play. Hugo Orlando Gatti showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Zvonimir Prestin, who was totally free with the ball in the 94th minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Honorato Zambujal during the 95th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Matthew Wagner took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 97th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Hugo Orlando Gatti. Consejo del Mate's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. The supporters of PoWer SC 2K5 booed when Consejo del Mate was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 97 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ervin Alla didn't get a good kick on the ball. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Consejo del Mate had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
