In the 23rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Tirant lo Blanch's goalkeeper Kamal Pahlevi, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Ervin Alla hit a great freekick 26 minutes into the match. Consejo del Mate's Hugo Orlando Gatti proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 30th minute of the match, managed to save Consejo del Mate from getting a goal against them. Hugo Orlando Gatti made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Leonard Treppa in the 31st minute of play. Through an outstanding action, after 37 minutes, Hugo Orlando Gatti successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Kamal Pahlevi showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Peyo Fonelleda in the 39th minute of the match. Consejo del Mate were furious when Santo Lorenz was red carded, 41 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. 40 minutes into the game, one of Consejo del Mate:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Hugo Orlando Gatti had in the 42ndth minute some difficulties stopping Leonard Treppa's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. 42 minutes into the game, Tirant lo Blanch's Leonard Treppa nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Hugo Orlando Gatti made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. In the 46th minute, Bernardo España hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Peyo Fonelleda fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Kamal Pahlevi having to interfere. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Peyo Fonelleda to strike the kick off in the second half. Carmen Paniagua's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Hugo Orlando Gatti read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 52nd minute of play.
