The audience thought a goal was coming when Christian Almkvist got free with David Rotariu in the 13th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. With a little luck, PoWer SC 2K5's David Rotariu got control of the ball when Christian Almkvist tried to sneak it across the goal line. C.Atl.Torre Monreal 07 were awarded a corner in the 16th minute after PoWer SC 2K5's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Saul Roman took the corner. A nice corner shot did that Saul Roman got away a dangerous shot. Despite this David Rotariu quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Jonas Klinsmann struck a weak shot in the 17th minute. Giorgio March didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for PoWer SC 2K5. The supporters of C.Atl.Torre Monreal 07 booed when PoWer SC 2K5 was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 21 match minutes in a wonderful position. Hector Todor didn't get a good kick on the ball. When the match had gone on for 25 minutes, Christian Almkvist took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for David Rotariu to make any attempt to save it. Thanks to some nice moves Christian Almkvist could shoot a difficult shot in the 29th minute, which David Rotariu however easily saved by the left post. Kai Förster's late challenge caught a C.Atl.Torre Monreal 07's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.
