Louis Munteanu's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Henrich Slany read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 16th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Frederic Burg in the 18th minute of play forced Slovakia's goalkeeper Henrich Slany to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 47th minute, FC Berea's Frederic Burg ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Henrich Slany. Henrich Slany yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-0. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Metod Mlynar to make the kick off. In the 55th minute Frederic Burg shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Henrich Slany saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The corner ended in Victor Rotariu almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Slovakia's Henrich Slany did a great save. Aristide Mârzac made an important save on a dangerous shot by Oliver Holub in the 67th minute. Vavrinec Koleno charged in rather forcefully in the 68th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Vavrinec Koleno the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Victor Rotariu charged in rather forcefully in the 87th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Victor Rotariu the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Vavrinec Koleno was shown his second yellow card after 88 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. After a rather tough play, Slovakia's Vavrinec Koleno got a free kick in the 89th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Frederic Burg in the 94th minute of play forced Slovakia's goalkeeper Henrich Slany to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. FC Berea were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Slovakia for a fine match.
