Antal Valentin was slow to take the kick. During this time Hungary's players had a chance to rest. Major Barna made a great header on Hungary's corner, it was just that Kåge BF's Roland Backman managed to reach the ball for a save. Major Barna fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 8th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Roland Backman having to interfere. Antal Valentin received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 10th minute. Roland Backman tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 26th minute, Andreas King got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Szekeres Tamas hit a great freekick 28 minutes into the match. Roland Backman made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hegedus Henrik in the 30th minute of play. If Andreas King had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. When Takacs Tibor came up free with the goalie in the 37th minute, the Hungary fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Takacs Tibor couldn't finish the play. Roland Backman showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Balazs Lajos, who was totally free with the ball in the 39th minute. Andreas King came free with the goalkeeper in the 41st minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Fodor Daniel could save by the left post. Antal Valentin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 43rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 46 minutes into the game, Hungary's Antal Valentin nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Roland Backman made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Andreas King stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Roland Backman made an important save on a dangerous shot by Antal Valentin in the 52nd minute. Bakos Endre's late challenge caught a Kåge BF's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Bakos Endre helped the player get up and apologised. After 53 played minutes Hungary got a freekick which was hit by Bakos Endre. The audience thought a goal was coming when Antal Valentin got free with Roland Backman in the 55th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After 56 minutes Kåge BF's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Antal Valentin who took care of the corner kick. The corner ended in Antal Valentin almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Kåge BF's Roland Backman did a great save. After having played for 59 minutes, Major Barna managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Hungary's supporters crossed their fingers, but Major Barna was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Major Barna sent away a hard shot on goal in the 62nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Antal Valentin could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 65th minute of the match, but Roland Backman made a huge save. Hungary were awarded a corner in the 67th minute after Kåge BF's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Antal Valentin took the corner. Andreas King fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 71st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fodor Daniel having to interfere. Antal Valentin came free with the goalkeeper in the 73rd minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Roland Backman could save by the left post. 80 minutes into the match, Kåge BF's goalkeeper Roland Backman had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Antal Valentin. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lars-Erik Wik in the 89th minute of play forced Hungary's goalkeeper Fodor Daniel to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 91st minute, Major Barna ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Roland Backman was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. Kåge BF made a substitution. Jan-Olof Bergman replaced Andreas King. The Kåge BF fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Hungary were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
