The audience was convinced that Sanda Cutov's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Ovidiu Cosâmbescu was relentless in the 25th minute of the game. If Sanda Cutov had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 26th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 29th minute, Gocław Wilga Warszawa's Michal Jaraczewski seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Michal Jaraczewski the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Gocław Wilga Warszawa protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Michal Jaraczewski had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. Michal Jaraczewski hit a great freekick 29 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Adam Olaru in the 30th minute of play forced Gocław Wilga Warszawa's goalkeeper Ovidiu Cosâmbescu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Eugen Ionita made in the 32nd minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Gocław Wilga Warszawa's Ludomil Zbydniowski. Carol Stinga showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Hugon Brzakala in the 34th minute of the match. Gocław Wilga Warszawa's Ovidiu Cosâmbescu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sanda Cutov in the 38th minute of play. Sanda Cutov fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 40th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ovidiu Cosâmbescu having to interfere. If Sanda Cutov had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Vasile Ciumak hit a great freekick 45 minutes into the match. When Romania's Sanda Cutov in the 47th minute got a chance for a shot 47th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Gocław Wilga Warszawa's goalie prevented a goal. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Dobromir Juchno to make the kick off. In the 53rd minute Adam Olaru shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ovidiu Cosâmbescu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ovidiu Cosâmbescu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Vasile Ciumak, who was totally free with the ball in the 56th minute. Gocław Wilga Warszawa's Ovidiu Cosâmbescu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Anton Stinga in the 75th minute of play. 76 minutes into the match, Gocław Wilga Warszawa's goal looked a bit too open when Anton Stinga came free, but Ovidiu Cosâmbescu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 79th minute of the match Romania got a corner. Gocław Wilga Warszawa's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. After having played for 81 minutes, Sanda Cutov managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Romania's supporters crossed their fingers, but Sanda Cutov was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 83 minutes into the match, Romania's goal looked a bit too open when Dobromir Juchno came free, but Carol Stinga reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Sanda Cutov sent away a hard shot on goal in the 84th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After 94 minutes Gocław Wilga Warszawa's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Sanda Cutov who took care of the corner kick. The corner ended in Vasile Ciumak almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Gocław Wilga Warszawa's Ovidiu Cosâmbescu did a great save. Ovidiu Cosâmbescu was out of position in the 96 minute of play, and Sanda Cutov capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Sanda Cutov really showed his touch with that goal: 1-1. Romania were clearly unhappy with the draw, as they felt they had done enough to earn themselves a victory.
