Fabricio Andrade hit a great freekick 4 minutes into the match. After 9 minutes of play, R̶Ī̶И̶И̶Є̶Ǥ̶Â̶И's Cristo Rey made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Wilson Amorim was left in no man's land by his defense there! Bert Homøe made in the 12th minute of the game a quick throw-in and Delmiro Oto immediately put the ball in play. 18 minutes into the match, Viriato Moura notched a goal, 1-2, to the right of R̶Ī̶И̶И̶Є̶Ǥ̶Â̶И's Tony Uchiha. Tony Uchiha was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. With a little luck, Portugal's Wilson Amorim got control of the ball when Cristo Rey tried to sneak it across the goal line. After taking down the ball on R̶Ī̶И̶И̶Є̶Ǥ̶Â̶И's corner Bert Homøe fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Wilson Amorim quite easily take care of the ball. Tony Uchiha showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Viriato Moura, who was totally free with the ball in the 27th minute. 32 minutes into the game, R̶Ī̶И̶И̶Є̶Ǥ̶Â̶И's Cristo Rey nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Wilson Amorim made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-2. When the match had gone on for 37 minutes, Cristo Rey took a quick shot and it went in 3-2 without a chance for Wilson Amorim to make any attempt to save it. Tony Uchiha made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Daniel Pimentel in the 41st minute of play. In the 46th minute Cristo Rey shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Wilson Amorim saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 3-2.

Portugal's Wilson Amorim played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cristo Rey in the 54th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 57th minute, Cristo Rey managed to get in a good position for a shot. R̶Ī̶И̶И̶Є̶Ǥ̶Â̶И's supporters rose to their feet, but Cristo Rey was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. The Portugal fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Wilson Amorim should have stopped the shot. Tony Uchiha was a little too slow when Bartolomeu Dias got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 89th minute. The score was now 4-3. Kazuo Koriotto might have been able to make a better finish in the 94th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Wilson Amorim. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Kazuo Koriotto ran back to his position shaking his head. An unexpectedly hard shot by Kazuo Koriotto in the 94th minute of play forced Portugal's goalkeeper Wilson Amorim to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 95 minutes of play, R̶Ī̶И̶И̶Є̶Ǥ̶Â̶И's Kazuo Koriotto made it 5-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net.
