Vaggelis Mitsiou could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 18th minute of the match, but Wilson Amorim made a huge save. When the match had gone on for 19 minutes, Vaggelis Mitsiou took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for Wilson Amorim to make any attempt to save it. Thanasis Koltsidas showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Felipe Barreto in the 23rd minute of the match. Viriato Moura took the ball and in the 24 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Thanasis Koltsidas. Thanasis Koltsidas dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. In the 27th minute Vaggelis Mitsiou shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Wilson Amorim saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Wilson Amorim took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Vaggelis Mitsiou, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Felipe Barreto sent away a hard shot on goal in the 28th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 33 minutes into the match, Felipe Barreto had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Thanasis Koltsidas. AEK S.C's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Felipe Barreto was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-2. AEK S.C's Thanasis Koltsidas played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Viriato Moura in the 35th minute of play. Kevin Carreira could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 39th minute of the match, but Wilson Amorim made a huge save. Thanasis Koltsidas made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Viriato Moura in the 44th minute of play. Wilson Amorim showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Donzel Goyeneta in the 46th minute of the match. The first half was very even, with the score at 2-2 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

Daniel Pimentel hit a great ball. 60 minutes into the game, Kevin Carreira cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-2. Wilson Amorim was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Caetano Moreira hit a great freekick 67 minutes into the match. Portugal's Bartolomeu Dias was substituted for Viriato Moura. Thalis Krommidas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 76th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Wilson Amorim took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Kevin Carreira, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Thanasis Koltsidas made an important save on a dangerous shot by Bartolomeu Dias in the 77th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Portugal's zone, Kevin Carreira stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Wilson Amorim came out of the goal and Kevin Carreira tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. João Francisco de Andrade charged in rather forcefully in the 83rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. After 83 played minutes AEK S.C got a freekick which was hit by João Francisco de Andrade. Felipinho Amorim recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 87th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. AEK S.C made a substitution. Thomas Papatrechas replaced João Francisco de Andrade. In the 90th minute, Raul Caetano hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Kevin Carreira came up free with the goalie in the 91st minute, the AEK S.C fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Kevin Carreira couldn't finish the play. 93 minutes into the match, Portugal's goal looked a bit too open when Kevin Carreira came free, but Wilson Amorim reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Wilson Amorim showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Kevin Carreira in the 94th minute of the match. Rodrigo Hats kicked well hit freekick during the 95th minute of the match. 97 minutes into the game, Thalis Krommidas cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 5-2. Wilson Amorim was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. AEK S.C's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
