Jaime Paraibano's late challenge caught a Germany's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Jaime Paraibano helped the player get up and apologised. Jaime Paraibano kicked well hit freekick during the 5th minute of the match. After having played for 15 minutes, Albin Holweck managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Germany's supporters crossed their fingers, but Albin Holweck was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The audience was convinced that Frank Sachs's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Norbert Rzegotka was relentless in the 17th minute of the game. Germany's Albin Holweck got a good chance for a goal in the 19th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Norbert Rzegotka showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Frank Sachs, who was totally free with the ball in the 20th minute. 22 minutes into the match, Germany's goal looked a bit too open when Robert Kornasiewicz came free, but Tommy Kahn reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some careless play in the Germany defense, Tymoteusz Bara kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Tommy Kahn. The Germany fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Tommy Kahn should have stopped the shot. An unexpected shot in the 30th minute by Robert Kornasiewicz got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Frank Sachs struck a weak shot in the 31st minute. Norbert Rzegotka didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Germany. Albin Holweck fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 33rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Norbert Rzegotka having to interfere. Willy Stieler charged in rather forcefully in the 37th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Willy Stieler the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 36 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Germany! Norbert Rzegotka showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Frank Sachs, who was totally free with the ball in the 41st minute. After 44 played minutes Germany got a freekick which was hit by Janik Vogt. Lucian Baldu took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 45th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Tommy Kahn. Germany's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Arkadiusz Chrobak might have been able to make a better finish in the 48th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Tommy Kahn. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Arkadiusz Chrobak ran back to his position shaking his head. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Frank Sachs to make the kick off. Norbert Rzegotka made an important save on a dangerous shot by Frank Sachs in the 59th minute. In the 68thth minute of the game Frank Sachs who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Drim Tim's Norbert Rzegotka was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 70th minute, Jaime Paraibano hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Norbert Rzegotka made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Frank Sachs in the 75th minute of play. Tommy Kahn showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tymoteusz Bara, who was totally free with the ball in the 78th minute. 79 minutes into the match, Drim Tim's goalkeeper Norbert Rzegotka had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Frank Sachs. 80 minutes into the game, Germany's Frank Sachs nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Norbert Rzegotka made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-1. The supporters of Germany booed when Drim Tim was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 82 match minutes in a wonderful position. Arkadiusz Chrobak didn't get a good kick on the ball. Frank Sachs's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Norbert Rzegotka read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 87th minute of play. Germany's Frank Sachs got a good chance for a goal in the 88th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 95th minute, Jaime Paraibano hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field.
