A very good chance. After a defensive mix-up in Germany's zone, 林庭烨 stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Tommy Kahn came out of the goal and 林庭烨 tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 林庭烨 who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 18thth minute tested the skills of Tommy Kahn when he managed to save the team from getting behind. 19 minutes into the match, Germany's Frank Sachs sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Ambrosio Chan narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 林庭烨s short, quick shot in the 21stth minute got Tommy Kahn to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Frank Sachs was slow to take the kick. During this time Germany's players had a chance to rest. A sloppy throw-in by 胡宇朗 in the 45th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Germany's Albin Holweck. The first half was very even, with the score at 2-2 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

Germany's Tommy Kahn played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by 林庭烨 in the 62nd minute of play. The supporters of 一⑤一⑩&九⑨归①.Nanjing.FC booed when Germany was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 63 match minutes in a wonderful position. Chris Mergenthaler didn't get a good kick on the ball. Frank Sachs might have been able to make a better finish in the 65th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Ambrosio Chan. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Tommy Kahn prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Germany were delighted with the way they had won the match. They had held their defensive line well and made the most of their chances, to claim a victory over 一⑤一⑩&九⑨归①.Nanjing.FC's much stronger midfield.
