Arnout Reekers showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mati Suárez, who was totally free with the ball in the 13th minute. Arnout Reekers showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bob Marley in the 22nd minute of the match. Wim Wilmes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 26th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Gustaaf Groeneveldt had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Netherlands's Arnout Reekers proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 31st minute of the match, managed to save Netherlands from getting a goal against them. In the 34th minute Gustaaf Groeneveldt shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Aquilino Roldanillo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of Netherlands booed when La Pantera Azulgrana was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 35 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rolands Schiavi didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 55 played minutes Netherlands got a freekick which was hit by Gust Ennemans. Aquilino Roldanillo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gijsbert ter Kruimer, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a defensive mix-up in La Pantera Azulgrana's zone, Wim Wilmes stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Aquilino Roldanillo came out of the goal and Wim Wilmes tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Gust Ennemans made in the 81st minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by La Pantera Azulgrana's Niceto Burni. Arnout Reekers made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bob Marley in the 81st minute of play. Nicolas Jaen hit a great freekick 89 minutes into the match. Wim Wilmes scored 0-3 in the 90th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Aquilino Roldanillo, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Netherlands played a much better game than La Pantera Azulgrana and deserved their victory. The La Pantera Azulgrana players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
