Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Gijsbert ter Kruimer started the match with the kick off. C.A.Esparta's Evelio Salvadore played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Wim Wilmes in the 6th minute of play. In the 7th minute Gijsbert ter Kruimer shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Evelio Salvadore saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience was convinced that Oswaldo Junior's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Arnout Reekers was relentless in the 8th minute of the game. 11 minutes into the match, Netherlands's goal looked a bit too open when Luis Galván came free, but Arnout Reekers reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Gustaaf Groeneveldt in the 13th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Evelio Salvadore prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Evelio Salvadore showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lars Meesters in the 17th minute of the match. Evelio Salvadore took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Wim Wilmes, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Arnout Reekers showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Oswaldo Junior, who was totally free with the ball in the 20th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Wim Wilmes in the 21st minute of play forced C.A.Esparta's goalkeeper Evelio Salvadore to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Sven-Hendrik Ohmer could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 25th minute of the match, but Arnout Reekers made a huge save. Evelio Salvadore showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Wim Wilmes, who was totally free with the ball in the 27th minute. Arnout Reekers showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Oswaldo Junior in the 29th minute of the match. With a little luck, C.A.Esparta's Evelio Salvadore got control of the ball when Lars Meesters tried to sneak it across the goal line. Arnout Reekers took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Luis Galván, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Wim Wilmes could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 61st minute of the match, but Evelio Salvadore made a huge save. Evelio Salvadore made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from David Eikelkamp in the 65th minute of play. Dércio Valentim hit a great freekick 71 minutes into the match. C.A.Esparta's Felix Orlan was substituted for Luis Galván. After 72 played minutes C.A.Esparta got a freekick which was hit by Dércio Valentim. Evelio Salvadore made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gijsbert ter Kruimer in the 74th minute of play. Oswaldo Junior struck a weak shot in the 76th minute. Arnout Reekers didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for C.A.Esparta. Evelio Salvadore came out of the goal in the 78th minute to try and stop a shot by Netherlands's Wim Wilmes. But to his dismay, Wim Wilmes quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. After 80 played minutes C.A.Esparta got a freekick which was hit by Marcos Acuña. In the 81st minute, Lars Meesters hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Gijsbert ter Kruimer received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 84th minute. Evelio Salvadore tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some careless play in the Netherlands defense, Adrian Arotza kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Arnout Reekers. The Netherlands fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Arnout Reekers should have stopped the shot. Arnout Reekers made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Oswaldo Junior in the 95th minute of play. Evelio Salvadore made a fantastic save in the 96th minute, when Gustaaf Groeneveldt sent off a good shot on target. When the final whistle sounded Netherlands left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than C.A.Esparta.
