Italy's attentive Zaccheo Andolina managed to snatch the ball when Luciano Tiso made a throw-in in the 18th minute of the game. A collision led to Italy getting a freekick after 20 minutes play. Eliseo Cutri hit a great ball. Mao Zhen Hong showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Zaccheo Andolina in the 23rd minute of the match. Flavio Vittori took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rodrigo Mafra, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Academia Monte Gordo were awarded a corner in the 25th minute after Italy's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Rodrigo Mafra took the corner. The corner led Academia Monte Gordo's Rodrigo Mafra to fire away a dangerous shot which Flavio Vittori despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. 27 minutes in the game Luciano Tiso did a throw-in, and the ball was quickly in game thanks to Adérito Abreu. In the 30th minute the ball was on its way in behind Italy's goalkeeper Flavio Vittori, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The audience thought a goal was coming when Fabrício Lustosa got free with Flavio Vittori in the 36th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 38 minutes into the game, Luciano Tiso threw the ball into play from the sideline. Italy's Eliseo Cutri quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. If Porziano Marchitelli had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 43 minutes into the match, Italy's Zaccheo Andolina sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Mao Zhen Hong narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Sigfrido Auletta took the ball and in the 45 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Mao Zhen Hong. Mao Zhen Hong dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. Mao Zhen Hong took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Siricio Liotta, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After the first half Italy were leading 0-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Fabrício Lustosa to make the kick off. Mao Zhen Hong took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sigfrido Auletta, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The throw-in from Luciano Tiso in the 56th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Italy's Eliseo Cutri. In the 58th minute, Zaccheo Andolina reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Mao Zhen Hong. The goal made the score 0-4. Academia Monte Gordo's Christian Westerstrand was substituted for Fabrício Lustosa. 65 minutes into the game, Adolfo Silva threw the ball into play from the sideline. Italy's Eliseo Cutri quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. The throw-in from Luciano Tiso in the 66th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Italy's Eliseo Cutri. Luciano Tiso kicked well hit freekick during the 88th minute of the match. Italy's Guiscardo Davide was substituted for Sigfrido Auletta. Italy's Adriano Curto was substituted for Zaccheo Andolina. A collision led to Academia Monte Gordo getting a freekick after 89 minutes play. Luciano Tiso hit a great ball. Luciano Tiso made in the 94th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Italy's Eliseo Cutri. Academia Monte Gordo's Mao Zhen Hong played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Adriano Curto in the 95th minute of play. A sloppy throw-in by Luciano Tiso in the 97th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Italy's Eliseo Cutri.
