Spectators: 45 (Terracing: 35, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) Obrero Barquisimeto's Cido Cardozo started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. If Antal Valentin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 3rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Antal Valentin received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 7th minute. Tifo Marinović tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 16th match minute, Obrero Barquisimeto was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Feo Cadorniga to maneuver through the defense. In the 20th minute, Gaby Martínez hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 23rd minute, Bakos Endre hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 32 minutes into the match, Cido Cardozo had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Fodor Daniel. Hungary's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Cido Cardozo was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-0. Tifo Marinović stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Antal Valentin's shot from short distance in the 35th minute. In the 36th minute, Cido Cardozo reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Fodor Daniel. The goal made the score 4-0. Antal Valentin struck a weak shot in the 39th minute. Tifo Marinović didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Hungary. Cido Cardozo's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Fodor Daniel read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 43rd minute of play. The supporters of Hungary booed when Obrero Barquisimeto was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 45 match minutes in a wonderful position. Fausto Comillas didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 46th minute of the match Antal Valentin shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Tifo Marinović showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 4-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Antal Valentin was the one to do the kick off. Tifo Marinović took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Major Barna, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Fodor Daniel showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cido Cardozo, who was totally free with the ball in the 53rd minute. Tifo Marinović made an important save on a dangerous shot by Major Barna in the 55th minute. In the 56th minute the ball was on its way in behind Hungary's goalkeeper Fodor Daniel, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 58 minutes had been played when some careless play by Hungary's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Feo Cadorniga was slow to take the kick. During this time Obrero Barquisimeto's players had a chance to rest. Tifo Marinović was out of position in the 64 minute of play, and Major Barna capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Major Barna really showed his touch with that goal: 4-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cido Cardozo in the 67th minute of play forced Hungary's goalkeeper Fodor Daniel to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 68 minutes into the match, Obrero Barquisimeto's Cido Cardozo sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Fodor Daniel narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Antal Valentin recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 70th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 70th match minute, Obrero Barquisimeto was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Richie Vasaburu to maneuver through the defense. In the 72ndth minute of the game Cido Cardozo who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Hungary's Fodor Daniel was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After having played for 74 minutes, Balazs Lajos managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Hungary's supporters crossed their fingers, but Balazs Lajos was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 76thth minute of the game Cido Cardozo who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Hungary's Fodor Daniel was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Cido Cardozo's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Fodor Daniel read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 78th minute of play. Bakos Endre made in the 80th minute of the game a quick throw-in and Balazs Lajos immediately put the ball in play. Takacs Tibor received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 83rd minute. Tifo Marinović tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Obrero Barquisimeto's Tifo Marinović proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 84th minute of the match, managed to save Obrero Barquisimeto from getting a goal against them. In the 87th match minute, Hungary was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Katona Janos to maneuver through the defense. In the 88th minute, Feo Cadorniga left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Obrero Barquisimeto fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 5-1.
